Basil English is the Supervisor of Silviculture with the Newfoundland and Labrador Forest Service. In that capacity, he is responsible for the overall development and delivery of the silviculture program on unalienated Crown land in the province, as well as oversight of the industrial silviculture program on industry tenure. He has worked with the Forest Service for 27 years in a variety of roles, mostly involving silviculture. He also spent six years as Supervisor of Strategic Planning. Basil is a graduate of Lakehead University, class of ‘86, as well as the Forest Resources Technology Program, class of ‘83. Basil lives in Corner Brook with his wife Madonna and two teenage sons.
